After serving a Latter-Day Saints mission to Joao Pessoa, Brazil for two years, Dustin J. Hopkin, DDS, attended The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007. While with the University of Iowa, he was honored for his extensive dental research and was also an active contributor to dental publications on oral cancer. Dr. Hopkin served his postdoctoral training at the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, IN, where he specialized in TMJ disorder treatment, dental implant placement, oral pathology, and tooth extractions (2011). In addition, Dr. Hopkin received board certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He remains a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, and the Utah Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. When he is not practicing, Dr. Hopkin enjoys woodworking, welding, riding anything with a motor, and spending time with his wife, Allison, and their four children in the mountains hunting, fishing, and just hanging out.
